This model was specifically built for the company’s founder, George Brough. The guy was considered one of the finest motorcycles builders and racers in the world.
The 1922 Brough Superior SS-80 “Old Bill” was the first motorcycle to ever complete one lap around the track at a speed over 100 miles/hour.
Brough won more than 50 races with the motorcycle giving it lots of historical value. He also named the bike “Old Bill”.
It remained in storage during the World War II and later put on display at the Nottingham Industrial Museum until it was sold at an H&H auction in 2012.
