Another of James Cameron’s major hits. As you already know, the director has a history of going over-budget, and this is another case.
Of course, nobody involved with this film expected to earn that much!
Released in 2009, the sci-fi film was officially budgeted at $237 million, grossing more than $2 billion worldwide.
Followed by ‘Titanic’, ‘Avatar’ is one of the highest grossing films of all time.
Story line: ‘A paraplegic Marine dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission becomes torn between following his orders and protecting the world he feels is his home.’
