5. Porsche Rinspeed Bedouin ($2.5 million)
We are starting our top-five countdown with another Porsche-powered concept car from Rinspeed. While the Rinspeed zaZen concept was all about enlightenment, this Rinspeed Bedouin takes on the efficiency.
The car embodies the efficiency concept in both space and fuel. In terms of space, it can turn from four-seater wagon into two-seater pick-up in just ten seconds. It is all done in just a push of a button.
And as for fuel, it runs on natural gas, which is an extremely clean-burning fuel consists of methane and almost zero sulfur. A two-in-one car that is eco-friendly: that is my dream car if you ask me.
Not to mention the one fact that puts this car on our list: Porsche engine. Rinspeed Bedouin is powered by Porsche’s 3.6-liter 4-cylinder DOHC twin-turbo engine. Not so bad for an eco-friendly car, huh?
This Rinspeed Bedouin concept car was first introduced at 2003 Geneva Motor Show. Today, it is sold at around $2.5 million per unit. What a price for a better, cleaner future!
