The most expensive property owned by Donald Trump goes to the Trump Place. Not just that, it is also the largest single private development in New York City.
The Trump Organization, along with its two partners: Hudson Waterfront Associates and Extell Development Company, developed this masterpiece in 1997. Then it was sold to The Carlyle Group in 2005 for $1.7 billion.
However, rough technical calculation of the property’s value shows that it should worth more than that. Trump understands this. So, he sued his partners for the sale, but dismissed it eventually.
Some parts of the building are still under construction of the new redevelopment program. Trump is no longer involved in the process.
