2) Large Hadron Collider- $10 billion

This is one of the competitors of Higgs Boson particle. In 2008, they completed the Large Hadron Collider.

Complete with a 27-kilometre ring of superconducting magnets, it is the most powerful particle accelerator in the world.

The completion of this project costs $10 billion to construct. It was a great investment in the end, because Higgs Boson particle was closed.

The reason why this particle was so wanted after by scientists, researchers, and governments is because it can help explain the Big Bang and how the universe was created.

It is the same particle that is misleadingly referred to by some as the “God Particle”.
