5. John Lennon’s Handwritten Lyrics to All You Need is Love – Sold for: $1m
Okay, so this isn’t quite signed, but it’s in his handwriting so it definitely counts.
A variety of Lennon memorabilia was sold at the London Hippodrome in 2005, and these handwritten lyrics were the biggest seller. The auctioneer referred to the lyrics as “one of the most important musical manuscripts in existence”, and “the holy grail of Beatles’ lyrics”.
One of the most famous Beatles songs, All You Need is Love was released in 1967.
