At number three we have one of the most historic moments in all of Space exploration but also one of the most expensive space projects and missions.
It was the third United States human spaceflight program conducted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
The program accomplished landing in first twelve humans on the Moon from ’69 to ’72.
President Kennedy was the one who shaped the Apollo Program, making it a national goal of landing a man of the Moon and returning him to safety to the Earth.
The first flight of Apollo happened in 1968 with final costs of $25.4 billion.
Kennedy’s goal was achieved in 1969 with the Apollo 11 mission when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon.
