Expensive Split-Seconds Chronograph Watches

9. IWC Spitfire Double Chronograph – $8,586

 Ninth on the list and next in line is the IWC Spitfire Double Chronograph timepiece.

Which comes in a 44mm in diameter and 17mm thick satin finished case, and features a silvered dial.

On the dial, we can spot the grey chronograph sub-dials,  the black minutetrack on the outside diameter of the dial, and the luminous filled applied Arabic Numeral hour markers and hands.

The timepiece features an automatic chronograph/stop-watch movement with a split seconds complication, which plication – a feature which allows for an additional timing function.

The watch has a double stop-watch seconds hand, one on top of the other, and by pressing the button at the 10 o’clock position while the chronograph is running, the seconds hand “splits” the top one stops while the bottom one continues to run.

IWC Spitfire Double Chronograph contains a total number of 29 jewels, and has an approximate power reserve of 44 hours.
