Bronko Nagurski 1935 National Chicle card is one of the most expensive sport cards in the world.
He was born in Canada and but rose to athletic fame as a fullback for the Chicago Bears in the 1930s.
Nagurski is also known as a professional wrestler who did it as a hobby. Why? Because his “love” was football.
He even returned to the Bears in 1943 for one season to help fill the roster while men were away fighting in the war.
Can you believe this card is the most expensive football card in the world? The three-time NFL champion and four-time All-Pro, Nagurski was a beast on the field in his days, playing on both sides of the ball.
The National Chicle gum company reported that their yearly sets would include 240 cards, however in 1935, only 36 cards were released.
