Henry Louis “Hank” Aaron was nicknamed “Hammer” of “Hammerin” and is a retired American professional baseball player.
Aaron spent a total of 21 seasons with the Milwaukee and Atlanta Braves in the National League before playing for the Milwaukee Brewers of the American Leagues. (There is also where he finished his career, two years later)
He still holds several MLB records including RBIs, extra base hits and total bases. Hank holds a career batting average of .305 with 3,771 hits, 755 home runs and 2,297 RBIs.
It was during this auction that Aaron’s 1954 Topps rookie card sold for an impressive $357,594.
