4. Lifting the Trophy in Front of the British Crowd
In other tournaments, everything starts in the court and ends there too. The champion of the tournament gets to lift the trophy in an acceptance ceremony in the middle of the court.
That is definitely a great feeling to experience. However, Wimbledon offers something different. First after the ceremony, the champion gets to take the trophy to meet the Royal’s family. They will be congratulated in person.
Then, it continues to a balcony where hundreds of fans await to celebrate. If you have heard of Hooligans, you know how enthusiast the British crowd can be.
