8. Prince pops up at Matthew Williamson – S/S 2008
The late and extremely great Prince made Matthew Williamson’s 2008 London Fashion Week show extremely memorable, by popping up to perform with a full band.
Seeing him sitting in the front row was a big thing in itself, and everyone was a bit in awe of the legendary artist. According to Williamson, he didn’t rehearse and arrived just a few minutes before the show was due to start. After he’d stolen the show, he gave the designer tickets to his next gig at the 02. It clearly pays to have friends in high places.
