IWC Schaffhausen has a special partnership with one of the Formula 1 racing teams. It is the Mercedes AMG Petronas. Thus, the two drivers became the official ambassador of the watchmaker.
Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg promote the IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer. The model is inspired by the craftsmanship, innovation, and pioneering spirit of Formula 1 racing.
The watch allows recorded hours and minutes to be shown on a “totalizer”. It also features a speed measurement with its tachymeter scale. You can read off the average speed achieved over a measured distance.
The watch’s fly-back function allows you to reset the stopwatch hand back to zero and immediately start another timing sequence. It is driven by mechanical chronograph movement which reserves 68 hours power.
