The New Ferrari 812 Superfast is the Fastest in Company’s History
Have you seen the weirdly named new Ferrari 812 Superfast? Apparently it is Ferrari’s most powerful car, in all the company’s history.
In order to make it into the supercar world, you need to always improve and upgrade your way of making things, because your competitors will always be busy making something faster, sleeker, more powerful and definitely more valuable than everything you already got.
Ferrari did just that, it outdone itself and released its latest supercar, ahead of next month’s Geneva International Motor Show. They come up with 812 Superfast, which is the most powerful production car the company has ever made.
The two-seater is the successor of Ferrari’s F12 Berlinetta, which boasts a 6.5 liter V12, good for around 800 horsepower when you rev the engine to 8,500 rom.
Max torque is 530 pound-feet, all of all it is held great by the rear wheels. It goes from zero to 60 mph comes in just 2.9 seconds; top speed is 211 mph.
The company says this car it is the first car to have electric power steering, and the latest version of what it calls the Side Slip Control. The latest is a technique that keeps the customers from crashing their cars the moment all that power kicks in.
It seems, according the some reports, this car will be the last Ferrari to pack a naturally aspirated engine, before shifting its focus to powerplants.
Ferrari has selected the 87th edition of the Geneva International Motor Show for the world premiere of the new 12-cylinder berlinetta, the 812 Superfast, the most powerful and fastest Ferrari in the marque’s history.

“Powered by a new 6.5-litre V12 engine that unleashes 800 cv, the 812 Superfast is the new benchmark in the mid-front-engined sports car segment, achieving maximum power output at 8,500 rpm, which translates to a specific power output of 123 cv/l. Figures that no other front-engined production car has ever even come near to delivering and which ensure the kind of thrilling top-end performance that is the exclusive characteristic of Ferrari’s noble V12 heritage.”
This Ferrari will be first seen in metal at the Geneva International Motor Show from March 9 to 19. In India, Ferrari offers six models with a wide range of customization options, from its two dealerships in Mumbai and Delhi.
