It all begins when a Yves, who was only 21 at that time is named Dior’s creative director, following the death of Christian Dior.
After his nervous breakdown he was fired but with the help of American millionaire J. Mack Robinson, Yves and his partner Pierre Bergé were able to start their own fashion house, Yves Saint Laurent.
The Hollywood Reporter stated that the film “elegantly chronicles the life of one of the biggest style icons of the 20th century” and because of this it has its special place in our list of films about the fashion world.
