6- Habil Khorakiwala
On the sixth place we have Habil Khorakiwala, the CEO to Wockhardt Pharmaceutics Company.
Like the other people from this list, Habil made his first billion from his company. But the heaven didn’t last too much.
In 2014 the company reported a 14% drop in revenues to $810 million while net profits nearly dropped to $140 million.
The sales of his company were hit by a U.S. FDA import ban on drugs made at two of his companies in Maharashtra.
But the story of this former billionaire has a happy ending. Wockhardt’s shares are now up by 50% in the past 11 months, which means he might have a chance to restore his billions.
