Russian Viktor Nusenkis gained his billions of his fortune in his native Ukraine. There he owns two coal mines, a coke-chemical plant, and metallurgy works.
Soon he became the director of a Ukrainian coal mine during the Soviet era. Then in 1993 he founded Energo Concern to help state-owned factories to organize trade deals.
The company gained popularity quick and became one of the biggest coal traders in Ukraine.
Besides from his coal company, he was an active member in the Russian Orthodox Church since the 1990s. He became one of the most influential patrons in both Ukraine and Russia.
Like the rest of the former billionaires, he lost more than a half of his money.
