N6. Het Arresthuis
This place, in The Netherlands, used to be the ‘home’ to 105 prisoners. But since then it has been changed over into an extravagant hotel for those who are looking for a relaxation stop in Holland.
Some of the design components are still reminiscent of a jail, featuring the short balconies in front of the rows of doors at the top and base stories.
When it comes to color, this place looks nothing like a prison. Pops of bright colors like pink and green have been added to the décor, and there is an ornate chandelier hanging in the center point of the hotel’s main area.
Comfortable couches in the lobby are also there to add to the charm of the Netherlands hotel, and the floors have been re-done to give the place an industrial chic feel.
