GEA: The Future of Luxury Mobility Based on the “Piloted Driving”

GEA is an autonomous luxury car concept designed by the Giugiaro Design, a company established in 1981 by the Italian automobile designer Giorgetto Giugiaro.

Now you may wonder who they are, and that’s a fair question which deserves an answer.

And the man that established the company, Giugiaro, was named Car Designer of the Century 1999 and inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame in 2002.

So all that being said, we can move on to the real subject of this article, which is the GEA, the car that brings the future one step closer, the concept that want to revolutionize the automotive industry.

But what makes it so special? Well, the GEA is a new concept for the automobiles based, as the title states, on the “Piloted Driving” technology.

Meaning that it’s concentrating on allowing its occupants to focus on other tasks or interests, taking into consideration that “In the near future, the real luxury will be time”.

So their main goal here is to transform the time you waste driving into something productive, basically, once the car drives autonomously through city traffic, you will be able to focus on other activities, turning the car “into a travelling office, a wellness or a dream area”.
