What Hides Behind This Coke Vending Machine is Amazing
You know those movies when some guy opens some shady door, and there’s something surprising hiding there?
Well this is kind of the same thing, only in this case we’re not talking about a door, it’s a Coke vending machine, and the surprising thing behind it, is an amazing ultra stylish bar.
You didn’t expect that right? Me neither, and I’m loving this.
The bar looks so cool, I’m a little jealous that it’s not in my city. Well, it’s not even in my country.
It can be found in Shanghai, going by the name of Flask and The Press, and “is an unconventional duo that upends the traditional speakeasy concept”.
Designed by architect Alberto Caiola, this awesome hidden unconventional bar will simply blow your mind.
“Considering that Shanghai has already seen its fair share of hidden speakeasy-themed bars and lounges we decided to build suspense and break it in an entirely unexpected fashion.”
Besides the cool idea of a bar hiding behind a kinda vintage Coke vending machine, it also looks incredibly cool.
And we have to say that we simply love how the copper lighting arrangement in the inside of the drop ceiling pops out and catches all the attention.
Standing outside, looking at that vending machine, you wouldn’t have guessed what hides behind it.
Also, the unconventional bar is accessible only via a sandwich shop that faces the main street.
“To add to the warm, cozy feel of the venue, we created partitions in the seating area that transition with natural ease.”
From the architecture and design, to the mysterious location and hidden entry door, this unconventional bar is definitely something worth visiting.
So what do you think, is this place amazing or what? If you would like to find out some more about this awesome project, you can do it here.
