N9. The Nightmare Before Christmas – $75 million
Any film directed by Tim Burton has something different than the others. And so is this one.
This isn’t your average Christmas movie. Why? Because the film features ghouls, skeletons, and lots of music.
The film almost didn’t happen because Disney didn’t want to produce such movie.
Finally released the film under Touchstone Pictures, stating that they believed the film would be too scary for the kids. At its release, the film gained instantly critical acclaim.
But they had enough audience to cash in on its massive success when released the film on Blu-Ray in 2009.
Many people had good words to say about the visuals and imagination of the film, even more when they knew that the film was entirely shot using stop-motion animation.
