N6. A Christmas Carol (2009) — $137.8 million
This is another film where Jim Carrey makes us love him even more. This time is CGI-animated film which was able to wow the audiences with its stunning visual effects.
But all those visual effects would be nothing without the top-notch voices of acting performers such as Jim Carrey and Gary Oldman.
The film is an animated retelling of Charles Dickens‘ classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions.
Plus, the film comes in 3D which makes it exceptional, proving once again that the feature can actually compliment a film when used properly.
Directed by Robert Zemeckis the film was an absolutely success. The release of the film took in $137,855,863 in gross earnings at the domestic box office.
