#5 Roger Federer – $67 Million
Roger is currently ranked world #2 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). The Swiss professional tennis player is currently ranked as the highest-paid tennis plays in the world.
With a pay of $67 million, Federer is considered by many as the greatest tennis players of all time. He turned professional in 1998 and has been in the top 10s best players since October 2002.
Like many athletes from this list, he holds several records of the Open Era: holder of the world no.1 position of 302, winner of 17 Grand Slam singles titles and many, many others.
He is among the seven men, and among the four in Open Era, to capture a career Grand Slam. And he continues to be among the best players in the world, 17 years after he turned pro. If you ask me that’s a hell of an achievement.
His endorsement portfolio is filled with long-term deals with blue-chip companies like Nike, Rolex and Credit Suisse. He extended his Mercedes-Benz deal at the end of 2014 for another three years.
The latest addition is a five-year pact with Sunrise, the largest private telecommunications provider in Switzerland.
