Coleman (who died in 2010, aged 42) was the highest paid child star of his time. He was staring in Diff’rent Strokes in the ’70s and early ’80s, him winning $70.000 per episode.
In the ’80s he was described as:

Unfortunately, Coleman had long legal battles with both of his parents, suing them and his business advisor for misappropriation of his assets. Coleman never got to see much of the money he earned, later declaring bankruptcy.
