Blackhawks player Patrick Kane signed with the team in 2007, and earns a reported $6.8 million a year with a $7 million signing bonus on top of that.
Kane was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2013, the Calder Memorial Trophy in 2008 and a 2010 Winter Olympics silver medal in Vancouver. Kane’s contract with the Blackhawks was one of the largest in NHL history, worth $84 million.
