American player Zach Parise is from an ice hockey family, his father also played professionally for Canada in the 1970s.
Parise plays for the Minnesota Wild, and has done since 2012, when he left the New Jersey Devils. He earns $9.75 million a year, as part of a front-loaded contract, which means he will continue to earn highly into his late 30s and probably continue to be one of the highest paid hockey players in the world.
