Marloes Coenen is a Dutch mixed martial artist and a former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamanweight Champion.
Born on March 31, 1981, she is currently the #2-ranked 145-pound female MMA fighter in the world according to the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings.
She has competed professionally since 2000 and, along with her competitive career, she is planning to study Communications Sciences in Amsterdam with a goal of future employment in this sector.
Marloes Coenen made her debut in MMA in November 2000 when she scored 8 consecutive victories, winning the 2000 ReMix World Cup.
She later advanced to the finals of the 2007 K-GRACE tournament, but lost to Roxanne Modafferi by split decision.
Last year, in August, Bellator MMA had signed Coenen along with Julia Budd and, on October 24 at Bellator 130, she made her debut against Annalisa Bucci winning the fight via submission in the 3rd round.
