4. Gilles Bensimon
French fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon has photographed some of the world’s most famous models, including Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Yasmin Le Bon and Elle Macpherson, who he married in 1985 and divorced in 1989.
Bensimon reportedly increased Elle magazine’s reach to 20 million readers with his ‘vision’ during his time as International Creative Director and Head Photographer. He has also photographed campaigns for major cosmetics companies including Maybelline and Clarins.
He still photograph’s a significant number of Elle‘s international covers and has a relationship with Maxim, Self and Vogue.
