Another controversial celebrity photographer is Terry Richardson, who has received both criticism and acclaim for his photos of famous people, often highly sexualised in their content.
Richardson has shot campaigns for major fashion brands including Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford, as well as worked for Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and Harpers Bazaar. He has also directed a number of music videos, including Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’, Primal Scream’s ‘Death in Vegas’ and Beyonce’s ‘XO’.
Taken against a white background, Richardson’s iconic portraits are ‘guerrilla’ and ‘punk’ in their style, and have featured everyone from Miley Cyrus to President Obama. He is reportedly worth $5 million, pushing him way up the highest paid photographers list.
