James (read as “Ha-mes”) Rodriguez is currently playing for Read Madrid as an attacking midfielder or winger. He used to be one of the best young players in the world. But he is now currently settling down as a bench warmer.
He became quite famous in Europe during his three-year time with Porto where he won several trophies and individual awards.
When he moved from AS Monaco to Real Madrid, he made a record-breaking transfer deal of €80 million. It put him as the most expensive Columbian in history, above Radamel Falcao.
Despite the fact that he is now a regular bench warmer, Real Madrid saw something that Adidas and Hugo Boss see in him today. Alongside other sponsors like Pepsi, those brands are giving Rodriguez $7 million of annual earnings from endorsement deals.
