She is a part of the drama ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ which was renewed for its 16th season. The drama has garnered a double digit increase in its viewership mainly because of the star power of the actress.
She makes a whopping $13 million per year and has been carrying that show for years.
It is this reason that the production house of the drama has increased the salary of Hargitay. She also has her own nonprofit organization, The Joyful Heart Foundation which confronts sexual abuse in childhood.
