Built in 1900 by Lucias Boomer, the owner of New York’s Waldorf-Astoria, the hotel was once the tallest building in Boston, having 11 storeys.
The hotel offers 204 guest rooms and suites and you can choose between the Classic Room, Superior King Room, Junior Suite, Executive King Fireplace, Back Bay Suite, Judy Garland Suite or Penthouse Suite.
The Lenox Hotel and the Saunders Hotel Group are well known for their green initiatives.
The Lenox was the first hotel in North America to offer a linen-reuse program back in the 1980s.
Also, the hotel received only positive reviews, such as: 1) ‘The hotel was a pioneer in environmentally-friendly practices.’
2) ‘We have stayed at the Lenox before, but the staff outdid themselves this time. A beautiful corner suite with a woodburning fireplace. Cake and wine surprise. Who could ask for more? This hotel gets it right from the minute you get out of the car till you are driving away.‘
