This Luxury Home Has a Batcave and Hidden Garage and It’s Everything You Wanted!
Can you believe that this home has a batcave and hidden garage? It is the perfect contrast between a meticulously renovated heritage house and a futuristic world concealed below ground.
Designed right from the Dark Knight, this luxury home has its own bat cave that stores several cars in a hidden underground garage.
Named ‘The Wayne Manor’, this mansion is exactly what every film enthusiastic wants.
Where is located?
Situated in Melbourne suburb of Toorak, this big-spend residential mansion has been the decoration from the get-go in the 1840s.
What’s so special about this mansion?
This property has a modern day batcave which lies six meters below the mansion. Hidden below the 2,500-square-metre propriety’s tennis court is a car garage that is inspired from the superhero movie.
The garage features tiled floors, LED-lit parking bays, mirrored walls and a lit ceiling, which is accessed by a ramped tunnel.
Basically all of our dreams of living in a Batcave have come true, because someone built it.
The entrance of this modern Batcave uses hydraulic mechanisms, and completely hides the garage below a tennis court, which takes up only a minute to open or close.
Who came up with such a great idea?
The architects from Molecule, a design company that ‘aims to create a distinctive, holistic vision for every project’ created this masterpiece.
‘Whether an immersive brand experience or a room of a house that’s tailored to a landscape view, Molecule projects are definitive, unique and endure in one’s memory.’
‘A commitment to build our ideas translates to a celebration of reality – an ongoing exploration of materiality, tectonics and construction methods wherein the final test of our ambition is the delight it achieves.’
They have thought that the name ‘The Wayne Residence’ will be proper for this luxurious estate.
Anja de Spa, Jarrod Haberfield and Richard Fleming hoped to add a ‘subversive element’ to the conservative mansion with the implementation of the pre-deco décor.
In an interview with Domain News, Mr Haberfield explained the thinking behind it.
‘In a very well-mannered heritage house… we were asked to reintroduce some of the glamour,’ Haberfield said.
‘Earlier architects had stripped back a little too much from the grand spaces and we needed to bring back their period strength and character.’
The garage was made for an owner who has a lot of cars to display and it has the quality if a commercial showroom.
The ascending staircase from the car park sits in the lower-living room floor and gives access to a 12-seat theatre which also sits below the house.
We have seen in our previous articles something similar with this. Remember the home that featured an elevator for cars? Or the best car garages?
Aside from ‘casement windows and the room volumes, everything has been touched by the Molecule designers,’ reported Domain News.
12 floor rugs were individually designed for the property to fit the family home and create a fluid theme throughout the residence.
This is the ‘perfect home for as superhero’ as the guys from the Molecule have stated on their website.
What do you think about this marvelous residence? Would you like to own it?
