No wonder when you hear that she has been given the nickname “Super Sexy Anni”. She has won three Olympic gold medals and many first-place finishes in the world championships.
The talent is heritage from her parents, both skaters. Even her brother is a speed skater. And her sister Agnes is a speed skater. You got it, the whole family is in the business of speed skating.
In July 2010, Friesinger retired from her active sports career when she had to be treated for severe cartilage damage in her right knee joint.
She is married with former Dutch skater Ids Postma since 11 August 2009.
