6Tirat Zvi, Israel – 129.2 degrees Fahrenheit

Tirat Zvi is a religious kibbutz, located in the Beit She’an Valley just west of the Jordan River, Israel.

In 2006, Tirat Zvi had a population of 654.

It’s completely understandable, if you take in consideration the fact that the highest recorded temperature there is 129.2 degrees Fahrenheit, the equivalent to 54 degrees Celsius.

In 1942, Tirat Zvi recorded the highest temperature ever officially measured in Asia.

How can you escape the heat? Well, Tirat Zvi’s residents built pools, and each accommodation here is surrounded by a canopy, providing shade.
