Trampoline
Kids invent fun stuff and the most amazing invention on the list is the trampoline, created by a 16 year old who was fond of the circus and the amazing trapeze acts.
The young George Nissen from Iowa was a small gymnast who practised the sport and who came with the idea to create some kind of contraption that could help gymnast like the was the nets from the circus were helping acrobats to do wonders.
He tested his new invention at the age of 16 in his parents garage and his first prototype was created when he was at the University of Iowa.
Discovering the huge potential of the invention, he wanted to give the public a closer look and during a tour with an acrobatics act he discovered the name he would later trademark.
Coming from the Spanish word for a diving board, “trampoline” he registered “Trampoline” and started to market it, but in a more different way rather than the fun purpose.
