Although the title is ‘on Earth’, this sure deserves a place here! Since November, 2000, there have been people living above our heads.
The International Space Station (ISS) serves as a space environment research laboratory, in which the crew conduct experiments in several fields, such as astronomy, meteorology, human biology, physics and others.
The ISS was launched in 1998, but only 2 years later Expedition 1 arrived, and the station was been continuously occupied for 13 years.
And ISS is the place of 5-6 crew members who now call it home.
These were the Most Isolated Communities on Earth!
