Being a powerful woman in fashion industry (and now politic), Ivanka says she is an advocate for women. And many see her as a feminist icon. Now that she is in the White House, her action speaks louder.
However, on the last International Women’s Day, Michelle Wolf said something controversial about her. The Daily Show host accused her support for feminism as fake.
She said, “Ivanka’s been silent on so many women’s issues, like health care, domestic abuse, reproductive rights. Before you put too much hope in Ivanka, remember, she promotes a brand of feminism that makes her rich by exploiting the very people she’s claiming to help. That’s not being a feminist. That’s being a Trump.”
