14 Questions with Jaimejustelaphoto Tumblr Blogger Yann
Our last interview is with the guy behind jaimejustlelaphoto Tumblr, Yann.
His blog is one of the blogs I’ve followed almost since I started. Our friendship has grown beyond the distance that’s between us. He is a great French guy who loves beautiful girls and Tumblr.
One thing you must know about his blog is that is a mixture of everything Yann enjoys, everything he hopes one day will have.
I’ve known this guy for a long time, his blog style has changed from year to year, becoming better and better.
1. Alux: Hey Yann! Can you tell me why did you choose Tumblr?
Yann: “I’ve chosen Tumblr for its simplicity and efficiency of course. But beyond that, the concept of a participative microblogging universe is awesome! It allows everyone to show his artistic work, and to us to appreciate talented people. It’s easy to create your own world, promote others. The sharing is so generous and beautiful on Tumblr.”
2. Alux: How did you decide for this blogging style?
Yann: “When you look at my blog, there isn’t a particular blogging style. Really, anything that is pleasant to me, I reblog it. But you may have seen my taste for luxury and pretty girls.”
3. Alux: What do you love the most about Tumblr?
Yann: “I love how Tumblr gave me many different perspectives on life. Everyone on this website has his idea of art and blogging. Very quickly you discover new things, and it never stops. You’re constantly learning with your community. This isn’t something specific to Tumblr actually, everywhere in Internet it exists, but for me, a bit more on Tumblr.”
4. Alux: You know that Tumblr is all about loving yourself. So tell me this, what do you love about yourself?
Yann: “Usually, I don’t talk about myself, not at all! But, if I have to answer this… Well many girls said that I should smile often; apparently I have a nice smile.”
5. Alux: What are the five things you love?
Yann: “My family is very important to me, watching movies alone or with a girlfriend, going to sports, I set myself for already a year and I can’t do without now. The photography of course and Tumblr and girls, girls, girls I love all y’all.”
6. Alux: How did you come up with your URL?
Yann: “When I’ve subscribed, I’ve tried very casual URLs, all taken! And ‘jaimejustelaphoto’ was the simplest thing to say what my blog is about. I came to Tumblr because I just really like photography.”
7. Alux: Which are your favorite blogs?
Yann: “I do not have one. But if I have to name one it will be my friend z-arb.”
8. Alux: What about your favorite films?
Yann: “I like gangster films particularly. I watched tons of movies on my spare time. My all-time favorites are One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Goodfellas and Fight Club. These are the first in my mind, and I have a big collection of various movies, but gangster films always get me!”
9. Alux: And your favorite book?
Yann: “I don’t have a favourite book. I don’t read books! I don’t really have time for that. Although I want to read, I’m never patient enough to finish a book. But I do read other things!”
10. Alux: That’s okay, not everyone reads. What kind of music gets to you?
Yann: “I have grown with soul music. My father introduced me to it, he is a big fan of Otis Redding, and it’s now my favorite singer too! My music style has been influenced by my dad, and then I slipped to Hip-Hop. My young years have been influenced with the great movement from 90’s.”
11. Alux: If you had to be trapped in a TV show for a month, which show would you choose?
Yann: “One month is pretty long, I would have chosen Game of Thrones but I might die the first hour! So I would say Californication, if you know the show you probably understand my choice.”
12. Alux: Who are your idols?
Yann: “It’s still a big word; there are a lot of artists that I respect in the world of sport, music etc… I love Michael Jordan, Otis Redding, and Ronaldinho.”
13. Alux: What does luxury mean to you?
Yann: “For me, luxury means that I can afford anything without even counting. There’s immediately the idea of money, luxury means having so much that it’s obsolete to count, being more concentrate on what you want and not on what it will cost you anyway.”
14. Alux: Do you have a question for ALux readers?
Yann: “I don’t really have any questions, I just hope you’ll forgive me for my bad English. And I thank my friend Gabi.”
