Now Kanye West Has Announced He Will Run For President In 2020
Latest news: the famous artist, Kanye West has announced he will run for President in 2020!
Now that’s something. After almost all America is against Donald Trump becoming the President of the United States, and Dan Bilzerian’s candidature for the 2016 elections, Kanye has made an announcement that he will run for President in 2020.
The rapper has done almost everything an artist can do. He has released explosive music videos, designed some clothing, and now he is thinking of adding being the President of the United States on his curriculum.
When this did happen?
He has made his intentions public during a long and confusing speech while accepting the Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Award, the highest award given to a ceremony, on Sunday night.
Taylor Swift was the one to introduce Kanye on the stage by saying “College Dropout was the first album my brother and I bought on iTunes when I was 12 years old,” all this after the incident in 2009 when Kanye interrupted Taylor’s speech.
Then, the 38-year-old rapper took the stage and for 10 minutes he kept everyone from the audience confused.
His speech had everything; from reminding us all about what he did six years ago to Taylor Swift, to how he and his daughter North, go to the grocery store for orange juice.
Yes, in that 10-minute speech Kanye had the time to share a life lesson about a leather shirt and a bottle of Hennessy.
We’ve got his speech transcript here. Here’s how Yeezy started:
“Y’all might be thinking right now, ‘I wonder did he smoke something before he came out here?’ And the answer is yes, I rolled up a little something, I knocked the edge off,”
“The contradiction is that I do fight for artists but in that fight, somehow, was disrespectful to artists,” he said of interrupting Swift.
“I didn’t know how to say the right thing, the perfect thing, I sat at the Grammys and saw Justin Timberlake and CeeLo Green lose. Gnarls Barkley and the [FutureSex/LoveSound] album, and bro, Justin, I’m not trying to put you on blast but I saw that man in tears, bro.
“And I was thinking he deserved to win album of the year. And the small box that we are of entertainers of the evening, how could you explain that?”
At this point, everyone got really confused and tired of his speech, and that was shown even on the faces of Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift.
In what came as no surprise, the performer also admitted to not understanding stuff.
“I still don’t understand award shows,” he confided.
“I don’t understand how they get five people who work their entire life to sell records, sell concert tickets to come stand on a carpet and for the first time in their life be judged on a chopping block and have the opportunity to be considered a loser.
After he admitted he doesn’t understand award shows, he also said he can’t predict the future.
“I don’t know what’s gonna happen tonight, and I don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow.”
While a worldwide audience was trying to figure out what was happening before them, West finished with a bang.
“I don’t know what I’m gonna lose after this — it don’t matter though because it ain’t about me, it’s about new ideas bro, people with ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could’ve guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”
That was the final thing that knocked everybody down. His decision quickly took off on social media and his ambitions became memes.
Then, the show host, Miley Cyrus saved the situation and said:
“Now we all know what happens to Kanye West when he smokes weed.”
