Is the Latest Celebrity Health Trend Completely Insane?
The latest celebrity health trend will literally freeze your soul.
Basically, if you want to look flawless at the next social event, you’ll have to take trip inside the freezer.
Let’s get this straight. There’s a new health trend becoming more and more popular in Los Angeles that celebrity seem to embrace it.
Cryotherapy. Or how to expose your body to -240 degrees Fahrenheit or lower and not only look, but feel fabulous.
As crazy as that sounds, it’s more than safe if done right and the benefits might really interest you. This miracle technique is supposed to increase endorphins, strengthen your immune system, improve sleep, smooth wrinkles and the best part of it all – to burn up to 800 calories in three minutes!
The treatment was originally developed for rheumatoid-arthritis patients in 1978, but it later began to be one of the favorite techniques of pro-athletes for the ice-bath-like effect on sore joints and muscles. Famous athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo and Kobe Bryant have been using this for a while now.
But honestly, we’re interested in the other face of this type of therapy: the superficial beauty benefits.
There, I said it. Guilty as charged. But let’s be real now, if celebrities like Mandy Moore, Minka Kelly, Demi Moore and Jennifer Aniston are hitting this cryotherapy thing like crazy, it must do something damn good!
But why does it make your skin look perfect?
The answer is quite simple: as your body freezes, the production of collagen is instantly boosted and makes your skin look shiny and tight. It’s like a natural Botox without consequences, of course the ladies go nuts about it! Who wouldn’t?
There’s one rule though you should follow rigorously. After you get out of the freezing cavity, you have to immediately start exercising and get your blood rushing. This will prevent your joints from freezing and will bring your body temperature back to normal.
What can go wrong?
Oh yes, of course there’s a risk. The problem is there’s a chance you’ll pass out if your blood pressure goes too high or too low. So I’d strongly recommend to pay a visit to your physician before trying out cryotherapy.
Also, you’d better start showing some money because freezing your booty will cost you up to $100 per session.
Is this technique completely insane or is it worth the freezing?
Would you try it out at least once?
