| Hotel Casa del Mar | Santa Monica | Beachfront, ocean |
InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown
The 889-room hotel sits inside the 1,100-foot (335 meter) Wilshire Grand Center, completed in 2017. The building is the tallest in the United States west of Chicago when its spire is counted. The hotel features the tallest open-air bar in the Western Hemisphere, and the complex also includes observation decks.
Hotel Casa del Mar, Santa Monica
This historic seven-story hotel stands on the beach in Santa Monica. It opened as a private beach club in 1926, reopened as a hotel in October 1999 after a restoration of more than $50 million, and has 129 guest rooms and suites. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
How to choose a Los Angeles hotel for the view
Pick by the view you want. Downtown towers give a skyline you cannot get at the coast, while Santa Monica gives sunsets over the Pacific. Request a high floor or a view category at booking, since the view often varies by room even within one hotel. Check current rates directly, as they vary widely by date.
