What is Hotel Tannenhof?

If you are searching for a place to stay in the Arlberg, the Hotel Tannenhof is the beautiful five star option. Local accounts date the original building to the 1920s, when it was a place for the social elite of the time to relax after the slopes, and a century-old hotel has since been thoroughly reconstructed. Today it is modern in design and lively in mood, with warm woods and a curated art selection.

St. Anton is well known as a destination for skiing and winter athletes from around the world, and the hotel says it perfectly blends “village tradition and international flair creating an inimitable aura of radiant charm.”

“Gleaming wood and regal fabrics in a timeless ambience will render your time in St. Anton unforgettable.”

Suites, spa and table

The seven suites each have their own character and an open fireplace, and a team of 24 serves a small number of guests. The spa has a daily day-spa program, a 15 by 5 meter indoor pool, a spring-water plunge pool, whirlpools, saunas and an aroma steam bath.

“Treat yourself with luxury holistic treatments and natural products in a tranquil, elegant atmosphere. Just lean back, relax and leave the world behind for a few moments. “

The restaurant has been the big news. When the Michelin Guide returned to Austria in January 2025, the kitchen under chef Dennis Ilies earned two stars on its first attempt. His style is creative alpine cuisine, served as many small shared dishes.

“The cuisine at the Tannenhof guarantees a gourmet experience par excellence.”

Getting there

The hotel books a private car to and from the airport (our earlier copy mentioned a chauffeur-driven Audi quattro, a detail we could not re-verify). A helicopter shuttle goes to the St. Anton heliport, where a car takes guests the rest of the way. A free in-town shuttle runs in winter only.
