All Men Must Dine: Eat Like a King in the New Game of Thrones Pop-up Restaurant!
Yes, it’s happening in real life for us, too – the new Game of Thrones pop-up restaurant, All Men Must Dine, has officially opened today!
I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one here who’s going nuts waiting for the launching of the new season of Game of Thrones in April, right? God, I miss the battles, the sex scandals and the scandalous treasons!
But if you’re one of us and by that I mean, obsessed with Games of Thrones, you know very well by now that there are basically two main scenes in this series: the political battlefield and the abundant feasts.
I swear that every time I see one of their epic parties with tons of food and fine wine pouring I’m starting to regret I wasn’t born back then.
So tell me, how would you like dining like a king of the Iron Throne?
Luckily for you, this is now officially possible! Perhaps some of you already know and even won an invitation, so at least let’s spread the envy among the others and hope that we still have a chance.
All this was possible thanks to HBO, which in order to mark the release of Game of Thrones: The Complete Fourth Season planned an epic GoT-style banquet at the Andaz, Liverpool Street in London this weekend between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th.
For this insane feast, HBO got together The Wandering Chef and Grosvenor Mixologists to create multiple courses and a personalized drinks menu inspired from the worldwide TV show. So, I don’t know…should we expect a Kindey Pie?
The bad news is that you can attend the event only with an invitation which was actually unbelievably easy to get. They started an online competition when people who wanted to get their hands on a double invitation had to answer one simple question:
Who is your favorite Game of Thrones character, and what would you cook to win their heart?
After that, a panel of judges will evaluate the answer and choose the best of them, giving the lucky ones their entry ticket to the epic banquet. And that was all you needed to do actually. Well, that and to be over 18 of course because I think you’re familiar by now with what happens in a Game of Thrones party.
I have to admit, I’m a bit jealous on the ones that got an invitation, but let’s hope they will let the restaurant run for a little bit longer after this weekend so that more of us can delight ourselves with some Westeros delicacies. I’m wondering how are they partying right now over there!?
Did you get an invitation for the Game of Thrones pop-up restaurant?
