The largest of the Aeolian Islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the northern coast of Sicily, Lipari Island is one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
Robbed in the past by the pirates and Greeks for its hard, black volcanic glass deposits found all around, the island has a population of around 11.000 people, but during the tourist season it can reach even 20.000.
If you want to have some amazing views, Quattrocchi or the four eyes is the place to go, just west of the main town.
