8.Vivien Leigh (1913-1967)
I think we all remember the gorgeous Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind! Well, Vivien Leigh plays that part!
One of the greatest female movie stars as the American Film Institutes also states, Vivien won many awards in her life.
Not many know that she played a variety of roles, includic classic Shakespearean characters such as Cleopatra, Lady Macbeth, Ophelia and Juliet.
Although she was blessed with a perfect porcelain face, that always terrified her.
Vivien was scared that her beauty sometimes prevented her from being appreciated as the truly great actress that she was.
Later though, she started suffering from bipolar disorder which was a terrible breakdown for her career. She died at the age of 53 because of chronic tuberculosis.
