At the 2007 Academy Awards, Cate Blanchett amazed everyone by wearing a $200,000 gown.
I don’t know if she originally meant to draw attention or not, but all I know is that somehow she managed to.
The dress was an Armani Privé creation which had a total cost of no more than two hundred thousand dollars.
The dress was a one shouldered, teal/silver mesh gown covered with Swarovski crystals, and also had a black clustered spangle floral motif and tulle overlay.
I don’t know if that’s her best outfit, but I do know that her dress is among the most expensive Academy Awards dresses in history.
