Its expensiveness comes from its rarity. They are easy to train, and quieter than the other parrots.
Like we said before, the Hyacinth Macaw is known to be the “Rolls-Royce” of parrots because their rarity and of course, price tag.
A single bird can sell between $7,000 and $14,000. Because people have the bad habit of selling them, their population in the wild has taken a heavy turn.
Just remember the story the writers from Rio 2 (2014) have told us and think twice before keeping a Hyacinth Macaw as your pet.
