9. Shrek the Third – $160 Million
Like I said in the beginning of the article, many stars now have their voices put on an animated movie. Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy are not an exception to that.
With a budget of $160 million, Shrek the Third was the highest-grossing animated movie of 2007.
The earnings weren’t that easy to make, with roughly $799 million worldwide it had a rough path but still managed to enter the top of the most expensive movies.
This Shrek has it all, from the fairy tale characters to the amazing graphics and in the end with the cutest puss in boots.
Directed by: Chris Miller, Raman Hui; Voiced by: Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy;
Story line: “When his new father-in-law, King Harold falls ill, Shrek is looked at as the heir to the land of Far, Far Away. Not one to give up his beloved swamp, Shrek recruits his friends Donkey and Puss in Boots to install the rebellious Artie as the new king.
