#9. Jesse James’s Photo: $52,000
Back in the 19th century, Jesse James was like the Robin Hood of the United States.
Just like the cartoon hero, James stole from the rich and gave it to the poor.
After a series of successful robberies, all the corners of the cities were invaded by the photo of a wanted man.
That wanted man was Jesse James, and the notice said “Wanted: Dead or alive”.
A recruit, Robert Ford, shot him in the back, killing James instantly on April 3, 1882.
The only thing Jesse signed was that noticeable, since he was an outlaw, he rarely signed anything. But now, his signature is valuable among the collectors from all around the world.
